Granville Island - it's an experience like no other. An exciting blend of art galleries, schools, studios, theatres, restaurants and shops, beloved by locals and by visitors from all over the world
It is a little overrated. The variety of shops is a bit limited . There are some nice restaurants and it is a pleasant place to spend an hour or two.
Yes, it's a bit touristy but we encountered many creative artists such as glass blowers, wood carvers etc. in this island. The Public Market is interesting but pricey but the fresh fruits and vegetables are not to be denied.
Fun tour with Emma. Great overview and walking tour of this popular attraction...and free if you ride the trolley.
