Glow Fresh Grill & Wine Bar, in the Shops at Don Mills, got off to a rather unfortunate start. Back in August, only a few weeks after opening a patio heater got a little too friendly with a designer chair, igniting a fire which led to extensive damages. Went there tonight with 7 friends from work. There were only a handful of other tables (10, maybe 12 total) and it was just before the dinner rush. One of those new flashy looking places with specially shaped plates and lightening and decor and really medocre food. Had a cob salad with a great description for example but with a single peice of dried out chicken on the top and some soggy greens it was hardly up to it. Beet salad had for its version of glazed pecans... more
I went with a friend to Glow for lunch and was extremely unimpressed. We shared one of the flat breads to start. The crust was so hard, I thought we were going to break a tooth.
We also had the fish tacos. They sounded tasty on the menu but they were anything but! They were so soggy the tortilla shells...
