It's really really nice to have a post modernist, ironic statement in the heart of Leslieville. Left over glue covers a ripped up floor, with empty picture frames on the walls, just to name a few touches in this former bank. I eat here probably 10 times a year. I consider it the best restaurant in East End Toronto. They serve tapas-style Italian dishes that are always perfectly cooked. It's a noisy place in an old non-descript bank building where the (pop) music is played loud and the chatter is also at high volume. It makes for an entertaining evening. The... more
Every dish was amazing and suitable for sharing. It's hard to decide which dish was amazing but their squash gnocchi is a must! I ordered the sea bass for my last visit and the waiter was kind enough to de-bone it for me!

As a matter of fact, it is nice, really really nice. Rana’s whimsical style is... more
There's no sign, just a "really, really big" "schnozzola" outside this "casual" Leslieville Italian where "solid" "comfort food" (including "tasty small plates") plus "decently priced" wines are offered in "funky" environs featuring mismatched chairs; a "vibrant" crowd means it's often "loud" (and "not for the hearing impaired"), but solid service and affordable prices help ensure it's still... more
