Not recommended at all.
Only use Gary if you want:
- to be given the constant run-around, no straight answers
- to have your parts kept from you for weeks or months, without being told where they are, and get very rude responses when you press for an answer regarding the geographic location of your property
- to be charged $$$ for work done to your parts that you did NOT consent to
- to feel like you've completely lost control of your property, and have to play "pretty please" with an unreasonable individual just to get your parts back
- to get a torrent of confrontational arguing when you politely try to find out why it took months to get your parts back, and why there was unauthorized work performed that you are now being charged for (and to have insinuations that somehow it's your problem and that you should be thankful)
- to be generally lied to and disrespected

If you want to be treated with respect, and do not wish for any of the above, then please avoid Gary's Custom Cycle in Ottawa, Ontario.

Beware, Gary does none of the advertised services himself or even at his shop. His shop is dusty, messy and crammed with dirty papers, boxes and rusty parts. (I should have seen this warning sign and run away.) As far as I could see from several visits, he does not even have any employees or any real equipment. He seems to ship everything to unknown subcontractors outside of Ottawa, and he will not even tell you which city your parts are in. He is not up-front with you about the outsourcing; from his web site he leads you to believe that he does everything in house. You should expect to pay a huge premium compared to just going directly to shops that specialize in the services. If you do give your parts to this middleman, it will cost you a lot of time, money and sanity to get them back.
