Only thing the owner cares is money at Garderie Canetons & Coccinelles!

This daycare first appeared to us as a spacious and organized daycare when we visited. But the owner crowded the daycare to nearly its maximum capacity within a year and a half. There has been many problems within the daycare, for example, water leakage in the kitchen, bathrooms and classrooms in rainy days. Some children had to sleep on mattresses over wet floor. Small buckets to collect water were found in bathrooms. When I went to pick up my kids, I slipped and almost fell to the floor twice in the classroom because the hallway and floor was full of water. And the kitchen floor was covered with water as well. Water was leaking from the walls and ceiling. When I raised the issue of the water leakage problem to the owner, he simply was very rude and ignorant about it. Staff is constantly leaving. Since Sept. 2008, my older daughter has had 3 different care givers and 2 directors. I was told that they want to leave because they can't tolerate the owner's disrespect and his constant ignorance of many problems. In short, problems brought up by either parents or care givers take a long time to get resolved. It's a daycare that looks good on the outside but on the inside, many issues are constantly addressed. Is the owner going for the money or he really cares about our children and his staff, I'll leave it to you.

Follow up- the following Monday of that Friday, an inspector showed up at the daycare after rain had stopped and floors were wiped cleand during the weekend. The owner was asked to repair the roof within a time period. The inspector made him get the repair done very quickly.
