Not Happy With Fitness World

joined this club, did them a favour by paying the full membership amount up front. Became too busy to go regularly, so i asked to get my money back minus the time i had used (i went a total of 4 times in two months, but was willing to pay for the full two months, gave them a 30 day notice) and they called me and said it was impossible.

I asked to speak to someone other then a receptionist who actually had desicion making power that would benefit the company. I sudgested that i would check back in 6 months if my schedule cleared up and stay with their club if everything went smoothly.

They said flat no.

instead of gaining the value of a lifetime member they gained the profit of a one year membership.

The equipment was just ok, they are usually over crowded, you have to wait to use machines, 2 stars for good locations, which is the only reason i can see people going there.

i would shop around at other gyms first, there are better offers out there.

continue to charge after membershio end and cancellation request!

I was a member for two years and found the services uninspiring and limited at the broadway location. The women's only area had very very old machines and no ventilation (pretty stinky!). My biggest beef is that I am still being charged after my membership has ended and I have gone in twice to confirm cancellation of the service- think very hard before you sign up here, there are far better gyms out there!
