I came to Father and Sons for a friend's birthday, and brought over 10 people to dine. The service was horrible and it took over half an hour to be asked for our orders. After being served the food was undercooked, particularly the meal I had ordered. The server had no concern for our complants, and the owner was much less than accomodating. Overall, this place has absolutely no customer orientation, and the management would be better served working at a Wal-mart location, for the complete lack of respect they showed the entire party. Would never go back, and do not recommend.
During breakfast hours, I give four stars. The portions are big, the food is excellent and the atmosphere and employees are wonderful. During any other time, my rating is two stars because the food becomes very mediocre and prices surge. However all other things remain the same. If you can go during breakfast hours I highly recommend. At any other time, I recommend going anywhere else.
This student-dominated pub has an amazing breakfast special, and a rather good chef. I've been disappointed before (by crispy pancakes), but more often than not, I've really enjoyed the food! They have jalapeno poppers, which I have trouble finding in restaurants. Service, however, was atrocious most times I went. All in all, would return.
I am brand new to the city. I enjoy going out to eat brunch, so I searched for a place relatively close to where I live. This place came up in my search.
I must say that I'm not a big fan of pub-type environments. I am vegetarian. I ordered three eggs with no meat. I received two eggs with sausages. That wasn't impressive. It shouldn't be that hard for someone whose job it is to take orders.
