The day previous to taking my cat to the vet, I came home from work to find my cat not herself at all. I work shift work, so it was late and I thought I will watch her overnight and call the vet in morning. So the next morning the cat had laid on the bathroom mat all night and this was not like her at all. I was on my day off but could not sleep well worried about my cat, so I was up early to call to get help for her. They had asked me over the phone if I could "drop her off" which I found strange. As I arrived there, they told me there was no vet to look at her. When I stated I wanted to know something before I left, like if the cat had a temperature or something, they seemed annoyed about that and the cat was taken out back. I don't know who examined her but then I was told she didn't have a temperature and then all of a sudden a vet appeared who wanted to make sure paper work had been signed to do further testing of this cat. They wanted me to sign a paper that stated I was willing to pay $700.00 plus to do a "sick cat workup". They were told I was not willing to pay $700.00 just to get a diagnosis. Before I even knew what was wrong with my cat, I mentioned that I didn't have thousands of dollars to spend on her. I was told that if I felt I couldn't afford it I could surrender my pet to them, for a fee, and they would fix her for free I guess and then what? Look for a home for her instead of maybe fixing her for me who loves her and I can take my beloved pet back home with me, I was told they would never put down a cat of her age as she was only 4. Come to find out they ate their words as my cat probably had feline leukemia or a cancer of something as her platelets were low. I felt I was talked to as if they were way above me and that I didn't care about my pet. If I didn't care about her, I wouldn't have taken her there. Furthermore I have had three cats over the span of 14 years and I have taken each and everyone of them there as I had them since kittens. They were all fixed, needled, wormed and flead and taken care of. For them to treat me this way, I feel, is totally unprofessional. Am I just a number? This is not the first time I have felt this way there and I really don't know why I went back but after this experience I will never go back there again. I have always paid my bill and have treated them with respect so for them to think it is OK to treat people this way, maybe they should review the way they conduct their business. It is only hearsay but since I have been telling my story, I have heard of others who have had similar stories and this is sad because I have been a loyal customer to this establishment and it is their loss. Sad! No stars for them! It would not let me submit without marking a star!

very kind

I had to take my injured dog in to see a vet asap and they were all very kind. It was a holiday and they still took in my dog and looked at her and they did all they could for her to comfort her and they explained everything to me so i would understand and they were awesome.

5 stars for Dr. Pridham

I have taken all my pets (including a bird) to Dr. Pridham for close to 3 years. They always love going to her (they hated the previous vet). She is one of the most loving, hard working veterinarians I have ever met. She always takes time to explain what she is doing and why and also goes over the cost of things without making you feel pressured or guilty if you cannot afford expensive tests. She is also to my knowledge the only vet around that will look at birds and reptiles. My pets and I would recommend her to anyone!
