Excellent service, average room

I've always had an excellent impression of the Royal York as a place of grandeur and exceptional service. Service met expectations. The rooms and venue was slightly better than average but not exceptional as I'd expected. Beds and pillows are excellent on the renovated floors (new beds & linens maybe?). Location is excellent (above train station, indoor walkway to major shopping centres), plenty of options for food. Would return here for the convenience and service.

Great Hotel

The Queen Elizabeth is a great hotel in the center of town. It's across the street from the metro (above all of the shops) and a short walk from the Cathedral and park.

Just came back from two nights at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. We took the train, and it's so convenient!! We were checked in and in our room less than 10 minutes after our train arrived. The Front Desk staff were so friendly, found us a late-night dinner spot, and the concierge the following day made sure we didn't miss any of the great things to see in Montreal. Le Beaver club est de la haute gastronomie particulièrement excellente.
Le service est impeccable! C'est un merveilleux restaurant.
Pour ce qui est du Montréalais, l'autre restaurant qui se trouve aussi
dans l'hôtel, j'ai autant de compliments. La différence est peut-être
qu'il fait plus ''affaires'' mais les deux sont très agréable à fréquenter!!
