Some of the facts you are stating are simply not true. First the Parole Board of Canada does not give any recommendations regarding third party service companies. I spoke with them and they would not confirm that Express Pardon is the largest Pardon Service or if the company is legit. They definitely would not advise that Express Pardons is a good company. In fact the Parole Board of Canada, discourages the public from using a third party service on their web site. Your facts regarding the Better Business Bureau are wrong also. All companies have to pay a fee to belong to the BBB and payment has nothing to do with your rating. If you are happy with Express Pardons than great, but do not provide false, mis-leading information to support your review.
I am reading these comments and I have no clue why people think Express Pardons are a scam? They completed my application for both a Pardon and a Waiver, they did it in the timeframes they said they would, and I have never had a problem getting through to them during normal business hours (9-5). I am now getting my wife to get them to do her application for a pardon as well for a DUI she had.
From what I understand after talking with the Parole Board of Canada was that they are probably the largest pardon company in Canada and they are in fact legit. The problem with 2 bad reviews is that you must look at how many happy customers there are. Obviously the people that do get a pardon through themy won't be reading reviews at that time anyways because they won't be concerned with them because they already got what they were looking for. I feel bad for some companies who may get a bad rep because of a couple difficult people. Be reasonable people... Look at Telus. The Largest telecomunications provider in Canada and they have over 800 bbb complaints, they are going to get bad reviews too you know, same with Mcdonalds....
BBB is by far the last thing you want to go by... If you pay, you get an "A"

The Parole Board says they are a good company, so that's what I'm going to go by, not 2 other random people who probably did some pretty bad things in their past...Get real guys, you are paying them to prepare your application, just like when you get your taxes done you pay your accountant to prepare your taxes, which then you pay the government your taxes. If you can't get a hold of them on the phone, you should probably not try to call them during the middle of the night......
This is the worst company I have dealt with in my life. I do not recommend using them for anything, you're better off burning your money than giving it to them.
First they were supposed to send us paper work to get the process started. Not sure what they were doing but we had to call three separate times before they actually sent us the mail after months of waiting. Still after this they had phone numbers listed wrong after we had told them three separate times over the phone and corrected their mistakes.
Then they told us to go to the police station to get our finger prints. The police station told us they do not do this. So we called Express Pardons and they exclaimed that they do, and to go back. So we went to a different police station and they said the same thing. So we looked at the Calgary Police stations website and right on there it says you cannot get finger prints for pardons at a police station you have to use a third party firm.
So after screwing everything up possible we requested a refund, and they kept $150 saying it was an administration cost. We sent them a time stamped fax saying we wanted a full refund for all their mistakes and wasting our time and they completely ignored us, and even went as far as to say we never requested a full refund even though we have proof of doing so.
You don't need to take my word for it though, take a look at their rating on the BBB - who revoked them for numerous reasons. One being that over 30 people have filed claims against them in the last 12 months, that is a lot of unhappy customers being screwed around by a company who has no regard for their clients.
