Nice restaurant, bottomless coffee and a breakfast that would satisfy a 300lb linebacker keep me going back to this place for breakfast whenever I'm in HRM. The wait staff are SO friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. Prices rose a bit over the last while, but I guess that's to be expected.

This is a great old school restaurant with a menu that covers pretty much everything you would expect at a reasonable price . Lots of locals and seniors chowing down on breakfast,seafood turkey dinners etc.. I had the club sandwich made with real chicken not processed and my wife had the seafood chowder . Tasted home made . The staff at the Esquire are efficient and friendly, the food was tasty. The highlight for us was the lobster chowder; 11 dollars for a bowl of the best chowder we've had in the Maritimes. Other menu items looked fresh and the diner was full of locals. Worth the trip up the Bedford highway.
