Un incontournable

Excellent service.

Honestly I did not even go into the museum, I was too mesmerized by the attached chocolate shop!  I had a wonderful dark chocolate and hot coffee drink that was out of this world, lovely on a cold day.  they also had samples of chocolate to try, and a wonderful array of artisan chocolates to purchase, along with unique t-shirts, shopping bags and umbrellas.  Charming shop with great displays... more

This review is for the chocolate shop, not the museum.  We darted in on a cold day in May for some hot chocolate.  They must have 8-10 different ways to try hot chocolate; all good and reasonably priced for the luxury you are getting (about the same as a coffee drink at Starbucks).  Very nice waitstaff, who where very helpful and friendly even if you don't speak French.

I planned to visit this "Museum" under the impression that it was a museum. It is basically a chocolate shop, with a side room containing some artifacts and pictures. There's not much to see, I would recommend it if you'd like to buy chocolate, but it is definitely not an "attraction," but merely a store. It has some interesting novelties,... more

Québec is known for its museums, and this one ranks right at the top of the list. Not only does the Choco-Musée Érico offer some fascinating exhibits on the history of chocolate and the process of making it, but they also offer samples! After your tour, you can enjoy more goodies in the chocolate shop, all made on the premises: ice cream, cookies, brownies, cake, hot chocolate, and traditional... more
