Located conveniently in the heart of the Queen West Theatre District, Epicure Café has been serving the neighborhood for over forty years.
The menu, influenced by Northern Italian and Provençal cuisine is extensive and includes a wide range of items, from Steak Frites, Duck Confit and Bouillabaisse to our well-known homemade burgers and pizzas. In addition to the consistently good... more
Epicure Cafe has a nice selection of breakfast and brunch items. I ordered an eggs benedict and a coffee and was pleased. It was prepared quickly and tasted okay.
European bistro fare of pasta, pizza, steak frites, Panini and mussels is difficult not to take delight in. This cafe and grill is very similar to a lofty Parisian apartment. Black and white tiled floors; cozy wooden booths; prints of Van Gogh cluttering the walls on the way upstairs.; and many nooks and crannies on the way to the intimate patio. This place is awesome. Servers were friendly and non-evasive. Both my pasta and my partner's because the first and second best pasta I've eaten. The escargot/mushroom appetizer was wonderful as well and to top it off, their take home bag is super cute :)
This is a great place in the area when you're with people who can't decide what they feel like. With everything from omelets to pasta to wraps, it pretty much covers your bases.
Nothing is wildly standout, but nothing is ever bad either. Really good portions (especially considering the area), super reasonable prices (tough to find ten dollar things around there) and really nice staff.
Nice cozy spot. Had the Mediterranean Bruschetta and the Peppercorn Steak and it was delicious! Our server was friendly and not overbearing and left us to chat easily.
Ambiance could us a little updating though, but overall the food is great and price is even better!
Exposed beams and brick make for a casual haunt serving southern French/northern Italian fare. Bouillabaisse Provençale, pastas, grilled lamb chops with rosemary and red wine jus, confit of duck and much more. Lunch, dinner daily; weekend brunch. Casual. Entrees: $14.95-$18. AE, MC, V.
This is one of the restos that has been around since Queen West since got hip — and will probably be there long after. The cafe has an eclectic menu that ranges from good ol’ burgers and pizzas to bouillabaise and confit de canard. Regular clientele range from writers and actors to the local fashion police, but you’d never know it from the mellow, jazz-infused atmosphere. A cozy dinner spot... more
