Quite cool to see
August 14, 2014When walking in the historic downtown you can see the Empress Theatre. It's the first and oldest theatre in Alberta. Quite nice to see. It's too bad it was closed though when I went. They offer tours inside.

A Unique Experience
June 27, 2014It was a pleasure to experience this historic theatre (over 100 years old). We attended a comedy musical production called 'Nunsense" all performed by local people and it was fun and entertaining. This theatre has a good feel to it.....a very homey atmosphere. I was very impressed with the neon tulips adorning the ceiling. The concession booth was in operation... more

The Empress Theatre has been entertaining audiences since 1910. Over the years not only has it gathered patrons, class, brilliant performances and also a ghost called Ed. Check the website for tickets and such.
