Indifferent attitude

We stopped here to shop for a new kitchen faucet. After seeing a model we liked, we did some internet research and found the exact same model online at HomeDepot.ca for $150 less. I understand that big box stores buy in huge volume and that local merchants have smaller margins and higher relative overhead, so I was willing to negotiate bearing those realities in mind. The employee at the store offered a $50 reduction and acted insulted that we even had the audacity to ask. He then proceeded to say that online shopping was unreliable, there was no service, etc.etc. True, perhaps, but $100 is $100. I asked to split the difference and he said no, and at this point became somewhat ignorant. We ended up picking up the same item at a local Home Depot for over $100 less. I would shop around and compare before deciding on this establishment.
