We have brought Spanish Tapas based on the traditional Andalucian experience to the community of North Vancouver. With an intimate room boasting a healthy wood finish, El Matador is a must-do for anyone that lives on the North Shore.
Tapas its really simple to make good, fresh ingredients prepared simply and assembled with a modicum of creativity, but either the chef was on vacation during my visit (my bet) or the owners have taken their eye off the ball

Quaint little cafe with good cold cuts and cheese platters.
It's more of a tapas place than a restaurant.
Few wines and beers on the menu but there are good ones on there.
The interior is rustic casual just like a vintage Spanish cafe with low ceiling and wooden posts and beams.
The staff could be more relaxed and friendly to help improve the vibe.
