A popular choice for Leslieville brunch-goers, this "funky little place" also draws "trendy" crowds with chef-owner Edward Levesque's monthly changing menu of "well-prepared" Canadian-French dinner fare (plus lunch on Fridays); sure, the surroundings are "average", but affordable prices and solid service help make up for it.

An early arrival to the now-popular, once-empty Leslieville, this casual diner and bistro emphasizes local and organic products that up the quality overall. The burgers are good and are made fresh, as are the generous salads; breakfasts are excellent, including eggs poached in tomato sauce and fine frittatas. Bistro fare includes succulent leg of lamb, veggie risotto, and lovely desserts,... more

Edward Levesque's Kitchen in Leslieville, so i've heard many times through the brunch grapevine, is an east end staple for the city's beloved weekend meal. This spot has caught my eye on many a best brunch list, but being a west-ender I don't often venture as far as the other side of the Don Valley for my Saturday eggs. Having become very familiar with what the west end has to offer in terms of... more

By far one of our best breakfast joints on the east end. We have been coming here for over 7 years now and are always satisfied with the high quality food and friendly service. We make sure we arrive early always before 10am and do not have issues with lining up to find seating. By the time we are done with breakfast and on our way out we usually pass a long line-up waiting to be seated.... more

Avoid! Just sent back both meals. Fish cakes were mushy and full of filler and I think my daughter's burger may have actually been off. Huge pile of mixed greens as salad. Does that still have to happen? Have never really had a good experience there yet they still charge a ransom. We are done trying.

I hadn't been here in years (mostly because they seem to be closed whenever I walk by). We had brunch here the other day. It wa delish! I ordered the full Monty which came with everything! The toast was thick and nicely toasted. It came with roasted tomato, mushrooms, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and beans! My DC ordered the huevos ~ she lived the bread that was a thin pita like thing but... more

Read the full Edward Levesque’s Kitchen brunch spotlight

This trendy diner has taken red booths, checkered tablecloths and a diner-style menu to new heights. At first glance, items such as creamy mac and cheese, spiced apple cider and lamb pie might make you think you’re ordering from a greasy spoon. However, take a closer look and you’ll see that this home-style cooking is as classy as the... more
