Unfortunately, have stayed here several days in each of the past three years. Staff are fake friendly, marginally competent. Quiet rooms overlook heating system and farmer's field or vast, poorly-designed, boring parking lot. On edge of city, where summer road work is rampant. Rooms used to feature most complicated thermostat in world - thankfully, now changed to user-frinedly units. Rooms are not designed for people with minor disabilities - towels stored 8" above floor, toilet paper hidden under shelf, just one (slatted) soap holder in shower (soap falls through easily), clock buttons need very high pressure to operate. TVs finally show local Canadian channels (was limited to US stations in previous years). On the plus side, restaurants have very good, diverse menus, and watching hockey while you eat in the lounge is a nice touch. Visiting the casino requires tolerance of considerable cigarette smoke. Overall, Marriott should be ashamed to have its name on this facility.
This hotel was great because it was far enough away from the city that you didn't hear the busy traffic; but close enough that you only had a five minute drive to the local attractions (ie: West Edmonton Mall). Great location, and great hotel!

The Hotel lived up to its billing, the service was superb, there was security that would only allow guests entry to the elevators. The rooms were nicely appointed, & the casino was a cut above most. Other than the location being a little out of the way, we enjoyed our stay & would recommend it to... more
