A few things to know about this place... One it's famous and its famous for a variety of reasons.
Being in the heart of Chinatown it was victim to a rat infestion during the garbage strike. Personally I don't think it was anything the restaurant did themselves to attract rodent just being where it's located got them some hairy unexpected guests.
With that being said, place was closed and cleaned up and is been giving a green light to serve food and do they ever.
BEST DUMPLING ANYWHERE! I loved there pan fried pork / shrimp and its so dirt cheap.
This place is so delicious that they've have photo's on the wall of Toronto Maple Leaf Players eating there and Prime Minister himself has eaten there.
AGAIN Hands down best Dumplings EVER!!!
This is a must-do experience as far as Toronto's excellent chinatown goes. Brilliant dumplings in a modest dining setting. Great for a late night food stop on your way home!

walking past the dumpling house very close to Kensington Market My attention was caught by their front window it is here that they stand and make their signature dish the dumplings. Many people walking alonmg Spadina will stop to watch them for a minute I decided to sample them. It was 6.00 for a dozen fried dumplingschose pork and chives out of the 10-15 vaieties available They were delivered... more
