closed my file and now am having trouble getting another doctor

This doctor replaced Dr. Gelfer (Dr. Gelfer was an exceptional doctor). Against my wishes, Dr. Dodek closed my file in 2005 because of my temporary move to Kelowna. When I moved back to Vancouver, I called to make an appointment after a van drove into me while I was walking in the Home Depot parking lot in Burnaby. I was told he wasn't taking "NEW" patients and he refused to see me under any circumstance. When Dr. Gelfer was away, Dr. Hatlelid would take his patients. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Hatlelid and liked him the instant I met him. Since Dr. Dodek wouldn't take me back as a patient, I asked to see Dr. Hatlelid again. As usual, I got a very unfriendly response and no one from City Square Family Practice has called to follow up. It's as though they don't care about former patients, even though technically, my file should not have been closed.
