Slow-cooked barbecue and microbrewed beers welcome diners, especially before and after sporting events. Go for pulled pork shoulder, side ribs (pair with Red Truck ale) and Kentucky-style smoked brisket. Apple-smoke half-chicken rides shotgun with tropical lager.

I think Dix was exactly what we needed after literally walking around the perimeter of downtown Vancouver. Exposed brick, brewing equipment, peanut shells on the floor and Southern-style barbecue set the scene at this fun brewpub, across from the BC Place stadium. Lagers crafted onsite are the big draw, and they make a great accompaniment to barbecued pork shoulder, hearty ribs and even smoked chicken. While you indulge in such substantial food, make sure to check out the game on the big-screen. A... more

\"Let the sauce run down your sleeves.\" That\'s the motto of this Yaletown brewpub known for authentic Southern-style barbecue ribs. Barbecue champ David Valjacic creates genuine lip-smacking Southern-style eats. The main decor feature is a brew kettle at the bar. The place is large, with tile-inlaid wood floors and massive sliding garage doors, and the crowd is casual. For side dishes,... more
