Expensive and terrible bedside manners

I just had a terrible experience with Dr. Desjardins. I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth out, but needed a consult with him before the operation. During the consult he covered the typical things on the checklist, you know what other medications are you on, any allergies etc. When it came to asking if there was a chance of me being pregnant, I thought, well there's always a chance even if it is 1%, birth control (which I am on) and condoms are never 100% guarantee. So I told him I guess there could be a chance but I highly doubt it. I guess my mistake was saying anything at all because he got very defensive and refused to take out my teeth. He went on about how I could sue him and that he would do anything to 'save his own skin' so he's not taking the risk of me potentially suing him. Not only did he refuse to operate on me because of the 1% chance I might be pregnant (fyi, I am not. I tried to tell him when I said it was highly unlikely) but, as I said before, he got very defensive and maybe it is just his voice but it sounded like he was barking at me.

Don't go there. You are going to be ripped off !!!!!

This man charges the minimum of $300 to pull a tooth. $150 for "consultation" and a minimum of $145 for actually pulling the tooth. He might make you wait for an hour before you see him and he hits you with the fee. Absolutely outrageous!!! My son and I had to cancel our appointments when we learned about his outrageous fee. A simple pulling of tooth should not cost more than $100.

Good job

Took out my wisdom tooth successfully. Was quick and almost painless.
