I visited Curtis Tire to have new tires replaced on my Dodge Grand Caravan. Curtis Tire had a special in Michelin X-Ice winter tires and their pricing was just right. I had made an appointment to have the tires installed while I waited. I was told installation would take 30 minutes. It ended up taking over an hour, and it seemed as if they were in no rush to work on my vehicle. Then when it came time to pay for the bill, they charged extra for installation and balancing. What I thought was a good deal turned out to be the opposite. Needless to say I was very disappointed as I would have gone elsewhere for such high installation and balancing costs. After paying a bill that was significantly larger than what I thought, I drove my vehicle home. On the way I noticed there was a slight shimmy in the vehicle that wasn't there before. When I arrived home I inspected all the tires and found that all four wheels were not torqued down. I was actually able to turn the lug nuts with my bare fingers. That could have easily been catastrophic and for them to miss out on something absolutely critical is unacceptable. I torqued down the lug nuts on my own and vowed never to return to Curtis Tire. I recommend staying away from this tire shop as there are plenty of others which offer great service and honest pricing, and most of all professional work.
