A girlfriend of mine and I were headed to Sussex for my nieces graduation from High School. And as experience has taught me over the years when travelling book far in advance.
So in January 2007 I called the Covered Bridge Inn to make my reservation to be sure to have a place to stay when I arrived in from my long trip from British Columbia. Booked it for 4 nights. Asked if a deposit was required the answer was no.
The day of arrival we headed to the office to check in and were informed that one of the 4 nights that we had booked was unavailable. Hugh? it was the second night that was unabvailable? what the heck were we suppose to do sleep on the side walk ? Drive to St or Moncton?
There were no other vacancies in the small town as it was grad week!!!! WOW I was shocked and confused to say the least I had booked 5 months in advance!!!! and even double checked my booked a month ahead! They had my contact information, and no call was made to inform us of this.
All I can say is I am thankful that I had some family that let us stay with them.
I would never ever recommend anywhere that would do this to a customer.
I never did get an answer as to what happened. So I figured the least I could do is pass on my displeasure with the whole ordeal and advise anyone travelling that needs a place to stay and you want it to still be available when you get there to not book here !
New Westminster British Columbia
Good location near the Trans Canada as a stopping point on your way to or from Nova Scotia or the USA .
Sussex is also nice town with all you need if just passing through .
This is really a nice small motel, not an "inn" . The "newer" units with the kitchenettes are best to try to get .... more

Free WiFi, handy parking outside the room which is the beauty of a motel! Staff were friendly... more
