This book store really does have a great collection of books. They are all very well organized on the shelves and browsing is extremely easy. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable.
Collected Works is a cute shop to peruse--I found some books there that I don't think I would have found at a chain like Chapters. The children's section was especially nifty and I had a good stroll through these pages. I also enjoyed that there was a section for local authors, which always nice to see.
The shelves were not exactly teeming with books, but there was a decent selection.

Something must have happened since Jason D. wrote his review in 2008 complaining that Collected Works is strictly literature. I wish this was the case. I'm a proud literary snob so I guess I have to conclude Collected Works is clearly not for people like us. Unfortunately, their literature selection is terrible; the shelves are half bare. The first time I went here I was trying just to browse, something which is extremely hard for me in bookstores, but I managed this particular time. For me Collected Works is a perfect combination of two of my addictions in life:books and coffee.
I returned to Collected Works after listening to a CBC program on my way to the Westboro about Craig Poiles book of poems called True Concessions....
