Although the collections of minerals are fairly impressive, the staff seemed to consist of one bored looking young woman, and one really old woman who seemed to be either annoyed or hard of hearing or both. The mining Museum in Cobalt is the place to start, then explore the area mines and go on a tour of an original mine or two! It's a great way to learn more about the town's heritage. If you're up north in Ontario hunting or fishing, at least visit. It's a neat place!
