The Coastal Cafe re-opened it's doors at 2731 Robie Street on Monday, June 4th with new owner Chef Mark Giffin. Mark was most recently Head Chef at Bish World Cuisine.

Came here for Sunday brunch with a friend before leaving Halifax. We got there around 10:30-11 in the morning. Ordered right away and only had to wait maybe 10 minutes for a table. The best breakfast in Halifax! Yes, it's small, counter service, and with limited seating. But, the espresso and the food will blow you away! The McCoastal was superb! The morning thunder yogurt and granola was awesome. And the cappuccino and quad espresso macchiato hit all the right notes! Where the city's best chefs go for breakfast.
