I had been told by another transmission shop that I would need a new transmission for my car. The car was a 1991 Buyick which had belonged to my parents. I took it to Coast Automatic Transmission and Tom drove the car. His diagnosis was there was nothing wrong with the transmission. He suspected there could be something wrong with the engine mounts. Further inspection revealed a broken engine mount on one side. I had the engine mount replaced and the automatic transmission fluid replaced. Total cost including tax was just over $300. The original shop quoted me $1450 including taxes - and the engine mount would still not have been repaired. Thank you Tom and Bing for your excellent service.
