They refused to fix my which was under warranty. I took them to court and won. their service sucks
I would like to talk about car dealers in and around Montreal. How good they are and how Honest they are.
i would like to talk about Chomedey Hyundai in Laval.
about their service their cars Because I bought a 2005 Elantra from them.

I bought a 2005 Hyundai Elantra from Chomedey Hyundai in Laval.
So I thought I should write a review about them just to inform others who will do business with them in future.
Let s start with the sales. When you go and see the car, and find some problems the salesman would tell you we will fix this we will fix that so you don t worry about it we will do a complete inspection and we will shampoo it for you. Also you have one month of warranty if you find something wrong we will fix it for you for free. You will be satisfied and give them advance. I was told the car has remote starter. I saw one and asked there should be 2 of them. He said yes you will get 2. Later when the day comes the car will still in some kind of fixing process. You will be waiting and signing papers. You will be shown inspection report which will show car is in perfect condition and they are shampooing it now. When the car is ready you will be excited when you check the car there will be some kind of smell coming seats wouldn t be properly clean. First you won t see them because it will be too late for you to go home second when you see them and ask. The same salesman will completely go blind and refuse the existence of any spots on the seats. He gave me one remote starter which was also broken. It wouldn t start the car and could hardly unlock. The salesman told me you take it now call me tomorrow the boss has the other remote You will feel stupid and leave and the next morning you will have sounds coming from engine, things wrong in the windows, wheels going in different directions. You call the salesman and he will ask to call the Service.
Now about Service. They gave me an early appointment thanks to them. When I checked my car the first time it had intense cigarette smell almost unbearable also the brakes and were not working. So they had to change the brakes and discs. After shampooing they had put so much wax that you couldn t smell anything else but wax. When it died down after a night the intense cigarette smell came back. Also the wheels were making weird moves. The exhaust had a boom boom sound. Seats were all filthy. Driver side window was making some cracking sound. Something was broken in it. The remote starter had the same problem. So I called Service. I was given a 4 days later appointment. I went there and left my car on Thursday. On Friday I called them they said there is something they had to order for the window so I can pick up on Monday. I asked the Service guy call me when you are satisfied with the work. Especially the cleaning and the sound from the exhaust. When he called I asked, are you satisfied he replied 100%. So I went to pick up the car. It was late around 9PM and the Service guy had left. They gave a paper which showed whatever they had done in the car. According to that they had fixed all the problems and shampooed the car again. I asked about the remote starter the boss said it will cost me only 20$ it just needs to be reprogrammed. I said 20$ is no big deal if it was more than you have to fix it. He said don t worry you are in good hands. He wrote it for me that he will fix the remote problem. I sat in the car and again there is some perfume smell, exhaust had the same sound. But I had to go because there was none to talk to.
Now imagine there was a first complete inspection report in front of me and then they are fixing the wheels the exhaust the window. How they do that inspection? Can we trust them?
Later the cigarette smell came back. My wife couldn t sit in the car she sat 2 times left with headache and was almost puking. I went to the remote fixing guys they checked and told me it will cost 150$ tax. I had to pay them 25$ to put the things back in the car. At the same time I was buying products to clean the seats and somehow get rid of the odor. Nothing was working. Seats were the filthy as before. I called them again and told them about the sound from the exhaust, clicking sounds from the driver side wheel and remote starter. They asked me to come again next week. I went there first they told me they didn t do anything before for the exhaust because it was not leaking. This time they checked in front of me and told me they cannot do anything I should keep driving if it increased then come back. Nothing for the clicking sound it was from the brakes. OK! They told me your car was never shampooed before they were just spraying something on it. This time they will shampoo, I couldn t believe that. Now comes the remote starter. They sent me to another place and the guys checked and told me they will charge 240$ tax. I tried to contact the owner of Chomedey Hyundai he was out and the time was almost 5PM that store was closing so I came back to the dealer waited for the boss to come when he arrives I told him the situation. He completely changed his mind and said He is not going to do anything and remote starter is not part of his warranty. (Remember he gave me in writing that h will fix it). He said he has spent a lot on this car he had to shampoo it 3 times. (Three times? Why would you shampoo three times in 2 weeks)? Then he offered me half the amount of fixing. I refused that. That is my story and review of Chomedey Hyundai in laval. My car still has that cigarette smell they didn t clean the seats even now.
So the questions asked would be:---------------
1- After the complete inspection why would I need to go back for 5 different problems which are visible to any lay man?-----------------
2- Why would you need a car to be shampooed 3 times in 2 weeks?------------------
4 â€“ why would you give in writing that you will fix the remote starter and later say you wont do it?

Je suis très satisfaite de ma nouvelle voiture. Je reçoi beaucoups de compliments pour la qualité de la voiture et de sonst look très élégant.
Très mauvais service en plus de me faire perde mon temps ! J'ai appeler 2 fois pour avoir un RDV, mes appels ont jamais été retournée. Je fini finalement par les rejoindre le lendemain, mon auto passe la journée au garage. Les problèmes ne sont toujours pas règlés et encore une fois j'appel pour parler à mon aviseur et mes appels ne sont toujours pas retournées !!!!

Mon 2ieme Santa Fe à cet endroit. L'ancien était tres bien mais la version 2007 est encore plus impressionant. Excellent rapport qualitée-prix. Ma conseillère était tres à l'écoute, sans pression. Bien gentille et tres compétente. Le service après-vente est excellent. Bref, c'est mon avis et je le partage !
