March 31, 2011This was the third meal in four evenings to celebrate my wife's milestone birthday. Going to Chez la Mere Michel is an experience, because you're in the heart of downtown Montreal and yet, you step into a home. It feels like you have been invited by a kindly matron to partake to a family meal... That is if the head of the family was a three star chef making some of the best French food I've had... more

February 19, 2011This resturant is simply wonderful. I went there for New Year's Eve and it was one of the best resturants I have ever been to. (I have been to many wonderful French resturants where I am from, so I would know). I would rate it a 9.5 out of 10.

One of a kind...
October 10, 2010Marc, the host/chef made us feel right at home. The menu is a bit pricey but really worth it. We had a really special dinner and a great time!

Un resto décevant,reconnu comme étant une des bonnes tables de Montréal. Ce n'est pas ce que cela annonce. Les serveurs malgré l'ancienneté évidente ont dans certains cas a accrocher leurs tabliers. Le service est trop familier pour ce genre d'endroit, on ne connait pas ou respecte pas l'étiquette. La nourriture est décevante pour le prix demandé. Peu de choix, une seule table d'hôte.... more

Enfin un resto où on peut s'entendre (pas de musique de fond) Si vous n'avez pas le "profil" chic de l'endroit, vous risquez de vous faire suggerer le vin le moins dispendieux. Celà dit, la nouriture est excellente, la table d'hôte est à un prix très raisonnable et le service très attentionné
