I went there with my boyfriend and my mother because other than Mcdonalds and Tim Horton's everything else in the West-Island was closed at that time. My mom and I both ordered chicken, they were both cooked on the outside but still raw on the inside. We sent them back 3 times and the guy would come back with them 5 minutes later with the outside being more and more burned but the inside still being raw. We gave up and didn't eat our meals. My boyfriend had ordered a chocolate mousse cake which had blue mold, yes blue MOLD all over it. When we told our waiter he said that they've been having problems with their fridge and that all the cakes have been going bad for the past month. So I asked, if you know that your fridge is broken and that your cakes are moldy why do you keep serving it to people? Needless to say he didn't have answer. When I asked that we not be charged he argued that we ordered it so we had to pay. After much arguing he finally agreed not to charge us for the cake but not the chicken because according to him it is normal that the chicken be pink in the middle. To top it all off when I received the bill I saw that he did charge me for the cake and so I had to argue again, so he took off the amount before tax which means I still paid for the tax of the moldy cake my boyfriend had taken 1 simple bite (which he later regretted) before realizing it was as rotten as the horrible service we had gotten. To top it all off he demanded a bigger tip! All three of us were violently ill that night. I went back the next day to see if the moldy chocolate mousse cake was still there...it was...they were still serving it!! Disgusting!!! None of us will ever EVER go back there!!! I'd rather starve then to ever walk into that place. NEVER AGAIN!!! Worst food and worst service by far! My boyfriend and I used to think that the reason we used to feel sick after going there was because we had gone out drinking with friends before going to eat there (since they're one of the only places around open 24 hours). But that night having gone there stone cold sober we found out it's simply because their food is disgusting!!! I can only imagine what we had ate there in the past too drunk to notice. I feel sick just thinking about it.
this is the local smoked meat place to go. grab a coffee late at night or tickle your fancy with their huge smoke meat sandwich, you won't be disappointed!
I have been going here since i was a teen. catching up with a friend for coffee late nights, or grabbing a smoke meat poutine!
Stopped here the other day for dinner with the family. Chenoys is one of the original smoked meat places in Montreal. This location is on the west island. We ordered the Quebecoise and two of the super smoked meat plates. Service was quick and efficient, and the food was wonderful. The Quebecoise has a smoked meat sandwich, poutine, cole slaw and dill pickle, 1/2 chicken and BBQ sauce. My... more
This is our place to go when we have big family events: it's open all night, you can't ask for more variety, and the portions are great. They're very friendly and lots of booths to have a great time.
Great Family Restaurant.
My wife, I and our 3 kids stopped on our way home for breakfast, after coming in town to see a Canadiens game. The breakfast was really good and the service was excellent. The boys had a stuffed chocolate banana crepes, my wife and daughter had the eggs Benedict, and I had the big breakfast with ham, sausage, bacon and eggs. Note: The eggs Benny has a lot of... more
