Amazing!

Quaint atmosphere, very welcoming owner and food that is out of this world! Caesar salad prepared at our table was the best I'd ever had. My brother had the Coquille St-Jacques and the scallops melted in my mouth! Yum! I had the filet mignon, and it was cooked to perfection. The desserts were heavenly! Can't say enough about this place. It's where I choose to go for my birthday every year - totally a treat of a meal!

This restaurant recalls a time when cutting-edge cuisine meant tableside preparation of Caesar salad ($7.95/person) and escargots ($8.95/person) baked in garlic butter, both still available here. Dark woods, floral wallpaper and, yes, lace curtains may remind you of your grandmother’s parlour (is this where they filmed My Dinner With André?), but food this good never goes out of style. The owner, who moved to Canada from France many years ago, provides excellent food and congenial and attentive service to clients in this small and somewhat unknown superb restaurant. The meals are prepared to simple perfection - I recommend you have them prepare the scallops with curry & pear sauce entree instead as an appetizer portion, to enable you also to enjoy something else on the menu... more
