Dean messed up my highlights (patches all over) & fried my hair by putting me under the hairdryer, with chemical in my hair. After 7 yrs at this salon, you would think I would be offered a refund, which is what I asked for but - Nope! only a "re-do". No thanks. As if I was going to let him touch my hair again after that major screw up.

I am surprised that there haven't been more reviews of this salon. After having lived in Ottawa for numerous years, and never having received a hair cut I didn't have to alter myself afterwards, I had a great experience at Character.

The hairstylist took time to discuss what I wanted and provide suggestions, and then shock of all shocks, actually followed through on what he said he would do.... more

The only reason I still don't go to Character is because of it's location. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this place or it's location, it's just not that convenient for me.

I'd recommend this place to anyone. The stylists are always having fun and are quite courteous.

I got a cut from there twice and both times Kristen did a great job. I know it's not THAT hard to not mess up a short... more
