The bakery portion of Yitzs is good, but I find that the food restaurant is only so so and the place could definitely use a reno.
I am being a little unfair! I hardly have any smoked meat sandwiches in Toronto.. and my last Deli sandwich experience was in NYC.. and in comparison eating at Yitz's was such a disappointment!! This Deli offers traditional cholestrol laden, artery clogging Jewish Deli specialities and baked goods, for eat-in or take-out. My only interest is in the deli meats, which are quite good. I have sampled pastrami and corned beef, and they are both good; home-made quality, not packaged. Like most deli's however, don't expect friendly, polite, attentive service, or an enjoyable ambiance.
