Cassis Bistro is the quintessential French Bistro experience on the west coast combining tapas style traditional dishes in a contemporary atmosphere. Widely praised for its award winning value for money food and wine experience. Now serving Brunch at the weekends.

Quelle surprise to find honest, no-frills French bistro fare on a stretch of Pender dotted with decaying storefronts and $10-a-night hostels. At Cassis, the duck à l’orange ($18.50) and the impossibly tender daube de boeuf ($18) are so French they capitulate as soon as they touch the fork. The guy continued, he said they want their customers to be happy and just... more

Worst DOV ever: I got cheated by them!
May 03, 2010

Just got seated at Cassis Bistro tonight and found that they changed their regular menu: taken out ALL the good stuff on their website menu and just leaving all the cheap items like soup and pasta of the day, salad for you to choose from. I only see 4 choices of each course available. After I came back home and check on their website again, I found that they are using their lunch menu as their... more

Quintessential French comfort, with a local Vancouver charm. Delicious traditional french daube du beouf, paired well with VQA wine.
