just keeps getting better
October 27, 2013Having been gone out of the area for the last three months, I couldn't wait for some good food. Don't know where the Commander Chip is from but I think his review is totally wrong. My wife and I stopped here on our road trip of Vancouver Island. It was underwhelming.
Half of the things on the lunch menu featured their beef gravy. Figuring they must have pretty good gravy if they put it on everything, I had the Salisbury steak. The tough, dry burger patties had beef broth from a can thickened with corn...

Great food in a very understated cafe
May 24, 2013We dropped in to Carmie's for a quick lunch. Café is old-fashioned, clean and very unpretentious in style. Our lunch order was made and served very quickly and was SO good.
