Maybe I'm missing something, but I just didn't get what other Yelpers loved so much about this store. OK, yeah, the pink pig-shaped grill outside the front door gave me high hopes, but nothing inside really lived up to that.

It's kind of like the scruffy cousin to London Drugs.
How did they ever manage to achieve a near perfect balance of useful and weird? And have it work so well?
Imagine going into a bank to get a loan to start Capital Iron. One look at the business plan and they'd laugh you right out of the place.
But it works!

Second to none for selection and quality, Capital Iron is the place all Victorians go! It is something akin to a traditional store with hardware, electrical, paints, clothing, housewares, fishing, marine, camping, barbecues and a well-stocked lawn and garden section.

Capital Iron has been a fixture in Victoria since 1934. When you walk through the doors it feels almost like you've been transported to the old time hardware store where you could purchase anything from paint and nails to work clothes, camping equipment and kitchen supplies. There is very little you can't find at this store.
