March 01, 2008We were smart, in years gone by, to be wary of hotel restaurants. Catering to transient business types and the tourists who flock seasonally to our region, they were generally not on the radar of the locals -- except, perhaps at noon-hour by those on an expense account looking for a comfortable, private place to lunch and talk shop. Atmosphere, service, cuisine. This restaurant has it all
February 27, 2013Went for Valentine's dinner on the 14th. While some restaurants are very busy, noisy and jammed on Valentine's Day this one was quiet, spacious and the service was impeccable...even though it was fully booked all evening. The food was excellent....well prepared and cooked to order. We would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a superb dining experience.

February 24, 2013The Capital Dining Room is a gem located in the National Hotel and Suites.The food was excellent and prepared by a chef with excellent taste.The service is excellent and the decor is lovely.We will be going back to the dining room again very soon.

Hidden Gem
January 09, 2013My FAVOURITE restaurant by far. We were there for New Years Eve dinner. We've going to the Capital for atleast 10 years - the hotel exterior is not much but once in this cozy little alcove with rich wood, large tables for two and not to mention far away for each other, you will feel the "dining experience" of feeling... more
