com A beautiful room, spacious with polished wood and floor-to-ceiling windows— also home to one of the best waterfront patios in the city. Order on-site brews of the lager, bitter, and ale variety by the sample—a wooden carrier of five small glasses—and get comfortable. One of Victoria's biggest and best pub patios overlooks the Gorge, the waterway just north of the Inner Harbour. Inside, the former power station has been stylishly redone, with high ceilings, exposed brick and beams, a wide range of in-house brews, top-notch bar snacks, and an all-ages restaurant.
You can't beat an afternoon on Canoe's waterfront patio. It is big enough that you don't have to wait to hours for a table. Thursday nights are good here with live music and a twenties crowd.

The walk down to the restaurant takes you right to the waterfront... more

Inside, the beautifully restored brick building has soaring ceilings with skylights, hardwood floors and giant copper cauldrons where the house beers are brewed – try the "beer fleet" (five five-ounce samples) to find one that suits you. The food is a cut above, with options like harissa... more
A huge 20th century warehouse has been successfully converted into a lively brew pub that manages to feel spacious rather than cavernous. There are lots of different seating options from at the bar to small intimate tables to comfy couches drawn up around coffee tables. Food is more adventurous and lighter than usual pub fare and a variety of brewed-on-premise beer is available. Unfortunately... more
