Trust me when i tell you that the sales people at Canadian Carpet will take you for anything you have! I have heard stories from installers there that told me the that they trow out half the materials the salesman sends them cause they are incompatible or one thing cancels the other but the poor naive costumer that wants the best (and who can blame him, it,s his HOME) pays for everything the salesman shoves in his bill. Worse part is they pay their installers almost nothing and at the end of the pay cycle they try to rob them even further. So no wonder the installers don't care about the quality of their job. They say YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR?! NOOO!!!! YOU GET WHAT THEY PAY THEIR INSTALLERS FOR! DO IT YOURSELF QUALITY, OR WORSE!!!! Because you actually care about your home! Also, they make you sign that the job is done and its done right, right there on the spot b4 you have time to see if its done right and they hold it against you when they don't fix it!!!
In my opinion, this company has the worst customer service. There were several problems;
Contract
The contract had a difference in the square footage for the installation (higher) than materials. Only when it was questioned and highlighted, then did they agree to change it. They then attempted to make us sign a new contract!!
Delivery
Not all material was delivered (7 boxes short) and not until this was pointed out repeatedly, did they agree to deliver (we are still waiting).
Installation
We paid 200 dollars for the moving of the furniture and they refused to move one piece a feet to the right!! Also, we paid for coving and the installer did not install it because he did not think it would look good! Not until we insisted, and after a debate, did he agree to install what we had paid for!!
Levelling
They estimated approximately 2-3 bags for levelling! It took 8 bags!! At 95 dollars per bag, it was an extra cost of almost 600 dollars. The levelling cost should have been agreed upon initially, without any alarms or surprises! Also, when the levelling was questioned (an area that had been levelled by them had a bigger gap than another area to be levelled, and the former was deemed okay; the latter was not), the installer threatened to walk out of the job and was very threatening.
Customer service
The sales associate did not return calls; especially after the threatening and coving situation! Terrible customer service on all levels.
In my opinion, do not use this company!!!!!!!!
