The local lacrosse team ... who thought they would be such a success. This is a great sport to get into with kids, so you don't have to fight to get Flames tickets all the time.

The Roughnecks arrived in Calgary in 2000 and, just four years later, claimed their first National Lacrosse League (NLL) championship. Not a sport for everyone, the rough-and-tumble aspects of lacrosse will likely appeal to the football fans in the crowd.
