Filling food at a good price

This is a basement location on a busy downtown street. Check out the funky artwork on the walls! The food is an eclectic mix of cuisines with something for everyone. I have eaten here twice and been satisfied (and stuffed!) both times. Service is on the slow side but the staff are very pleasant.
You get 8 dumplings on a plate with thick peanut sauce and dots of red hot sauce. Mix in the hot...

Cafe L’Etranger is one of my favorite hang-outs in town.
Period.
Why?
So many reasons.
A really affordable Table d’hote, where you can get a soup, main meal, tea or coffee for less than $10 bucks (before taxes). The Table d’hote is constantly updated with a selection of ethnic meals, from General Tao Chicken, a fresh pasta with original sauces, the occasional Greek or Indian dish, a variety...
