"Life as a locavore is easy" at this Downtown champion of "sustainable seafood" where chef Robert Clark turns out "excellent" fish dishes "with a bit of an edge" (check out the "exquisite tasting menu"); some "would like to see more on the plate", opining it's "expensive for what you get", but most feel it "delivers the full deal" with its "professional" service and "hushed ambience" in the... more

The city's most venerable seafood restaurant, C has suffered from inconsistency in recent times. The latest executive chef, Lee Humphries, is talented and willing to experiment. Some of his dishes, like seared scallops with asparagus, fingerling potatoes, and crisp duck tongues, are splendidly done. Others, though, can most flatteringly be described as "interesting." The room is comfortable,... more

Since opening in 1997, the popularity of this award-winning trendsetter hasn't flagged. The dining room is a cool white space with painted steel and lots of glass; the waterside location on False Creek is sublime (book an outside table if the weather is fine). Ingredients make all the difference here: The chef and his highly knowledgeable staff can tell you not only where every product comes... more

bar drinks took 10 minutes , where's the liquor, tasted like juice, ordered a bottle of wine that took another 15 minutes, apparently didn't have it so they subbed it for a different winery and different grape??
Well, the... more

The Nori Biscotte is to die for! The best wrapped scallops I ever had. The room is minimalist but the food more than compensates... the food is the focus anyhow.
