I had a relative visiting from Ontario. She has a number of food allergies. She's pretty much a vegetarian; I'm not. A friend recommended we have lunch here after a visit to the Museum of Anthropology at UBC. Excellent suggestion. She was over the moon about her food and mine was delicious as well. Great place.
Upscale comfort food - enjoyed the grilled cheese and tomato soup as well as brie fondue appetizer - all really great. Super friendly server. Seating inside or out, both are comfortable.
I can always count on burgoo for some comfort food. I love their tomato soup, burgoo salad and grilled cheese sandwich. I heard their pulled pork sandwich is good as well - this is on my must try list for my next visit.
