I have been going to this resturant for the past 30 years and have had the same meal every time. The food has not changed in quality or quantity. Always tasty with great side dishes that come with the meal. The best Korean food in Edmonton as noted by the amount of support from the Korean community. The same cook... more
This place was my introduction to Korean food---I think it was in the early 70's. I was absolutely struck by the tasty marinades......lots of roasted sesame.....and the tenderness of the meat. Wanting to try Bul-Go-Gi for sometime, I decided to pick up an order of this Korean tradition dish. This flavorful and aromatic Korean marinated beef dish with rice, and kimchi, a spicy condiment, was a unique and perfect blend of meat and marinade ingredients. I am hoping to be able to duplicate this recipe at home.
My husband & I had the Bulgogi dish which was good but not as marinated as other Korean restaurants we have tried. The Tang Soo Yook dish, a Korean version of sweet & sour pork (not so sour) was ok for me but my husband who is Korean thought it was too deep fried. We both thought the food was ok which was a good reflection of the cost.
A nice place to go with good food; the mandoos were specially good and hot but I'd like it if they had some tariaki
Bul-Go-Gi House is a Korean and Asian restaurant where most Menuism users came for a family meal, paid between $10 and $25, and tipped less than 15%.
A large restaurant in the residential neighborhood of Bonnie Doon, the Bul Go Gi House serves some of the tastiest Korean food in the city. The bul-go-gi (stir-fried, marinated beef) is a popular menu item. There are soups, noodle and rice dishes, and seafood choices as well. The unassuming decor consists of simple tables and chairs and a few decorations on the walls.
