I had a superlative experience here. It's a "blink and you might miss it" kind of place and the interior is a bit cluttered with plants, but they serve up some of the best Thai food I've had in this city. The beef with lime was so flavourful and tender; it was a veritable citrus and cow party on my plate. Top points of the evening went to the chicken with peanuts. It was a bit drier than other... more
We needed a Thai place on short notice & Yelp didn't disappoint.Bua Thai is an out of the way restaurant off Jasper Ave. Parking is available in the lot next door though seeing the signage while driving down Jasper was a bit difficult. The decor is retro kitsch with small tables scattered throughout. The service was very fast and our waiter was perhaps the most laid back California cool person... more
Great Thai food on Jasper AvenueI was working next door to Bua Thai so decided to try it for lunch today. My family decided to try this restaurant after friends suggesting going there. The food and overall experience was absolutely fantastic! We will definitely be repeat customers.

This little eatery is way off the beaten path, but well worth finding. The menu stretches to some 80 items, and once you figure out where it is, you may want to come back repeatedly just to sample everything, from panang chicken curry to drunken shrimp. Curry, citrus, basil, and the heat of chiles are the hallmark flavors of Thai cuisine, and Bua Thai uses them quite well. Combinations of... more
