A minimalist wine bar in the happening Mile End neighborhood, Bu benefits from having a young and easygoing staff with a no-snobbery approach to wine connoisseurship. Not only has BU won awards for its sleek decor, but it strikes just the right balance between wine and food. A handful of hot dishes are offered nightly, but the purpose of all the food is to complement, not do battle with, the wines. Le restaurant et bar à vin BU, ouvert depuis octobre 2003, est l`un des premiers véritables bar à vi... Bref, c'est mon avis et je le partage !

02 juin 2013It was an odd experience from the start, when the waiter tells you that the resto is moving locations so "we need to get rid of the food in our fridge." He said that there were changes on the menu because they were going to use whatever was left in the fridge so they won't have to move it. What a turn off! Hoping that the food would taste good even with their leftover pitch - sadly it was not... plus

Love this place!
02 avril 2013We had a great night - shared a cheese platter, amazing salmon tartar and the beet salad was delicious. They have a very extensive wine list and the bottle we ordered (priced at only $39) was great!
