Awesome pub. One of my favorite, if not my favorite pub in Montreal. Great beers, great food, great people.
j'ai découvert ce bar il y a deja quelques années, la terrasse y est génial, la bière au framboise brassée sur place tout a fait sublime et en plus, il y a des concerts sur place! wow.
This pub pulls endless pints of its own microbrews to go with the rock and pop music it plays. With several rooms on two levels, a terrace in back, and a street-side balcony, it anchors rue Crescent's raucous southern end. Bands perform here, too, with an open-mic night on Sunday.
A down n' dirty brew-pub in the heart of downtown that caters to a rock n' roll crowd. And by dirty, we mean good dirty. Cheap homemade beers on tap, quesadillas and nachos for sustenance and great indie bands that tear up the tiny stage. Feels like an old frat house with posters tacked to the walls, graffiti in the bathroom and an old, rickety wooden staircase that's seen many a drunken... more
It was all going so well - found a beer that seemed OK (I'm spoilt - I live in Belgium) and sat at the bar, but the bar staff weren't all that friendly. After witnessing how the bar worked though, it started to explain that this is not "brew-topia" - the staff don't understand how to pull a beer properly, and they use the dregs from the end of a keg mixed with the horrible mess that comes up... more
A nice place in downtown where you can find good stuff to drink and eat. They have live music and usually Mondays they have pub quiz which is quite nerdy but fun. They have their own beer though.
My two sisters and I visited Montreal for a week and we went to this place twice! I loved the micro-brews and the prices. The food was so-so, but that's not why we went. One night they had live music and then we went back on a Monday night and played Trivia. We had so much fun! Perfect crowd for our age (18-24), no creepy old men. If I visit Montreal again I will definatly stop back.
This cozy brewpub is totally unlike the slick clubs and discos that surround it. You won't find much dancing or schmoozing at this friendly, conversational pub, which is decked out in exposed brick and hardwood. There is also a stage for occasional live music (anything from jazz and straight-ahead rock to electronica and student performances). Stop by on Fridays, the only day serving lunch, or... more
A three-floor brewpub with a wide fan base, Brutopia keeps five year-round beers on tap and three seasonal options. Among the year-round options are a classic IPA, a nut brown ale and a raspberry blonde; seasonal brews range from porters and stouts to Scotch ale and cream ale. Live music several nights a week, plus trivia night on Mondays, keep folks entertained, while a lively menu of tapas... more
