I visited Broadway Chinese Restaurant as I decided to stop visiting the last Chinese restaurant that I frequented, due to poor food and service. And now I was hit with this utterly disgusting excuse of a restaurant thinking that my craving for Chinese food would be satisfied. As I entered I noticed that I was the only customer. The service was robotic if anything, about as much personal interaction as you do with your bank machine. I ordered the squid with black bean sauce, a bowl of steamed rice and a pop. The total price was $15.00 and it arrived about 15 minutes later. The dish was quite large, the serving dish that is. The actual portion size was miniscule and the squid was not remotely close to being fresh. The black bean sauce was runny and diluted, almost like soy sauce and it was bland as well. I finished up my order and savoured the only thing that was authentic, the pop. I paid my bill without tip and left. I have literally had better food at shopping mall food courts prior to closing. Avoid this restaurant at all costs, don't fall victim like I did.
