I purchased this about 2300 sq ft at $5.19 square foot of the Cumaru Hardwood from the Floor Depot one of Brampton Hardwood store in the Niagara area and I was told it was Canadian hardwood however nowhere on the box I can find made in Canada nor anyone in the store can confirm that it was made in Canada also the St. Lawrence company does not exist anywhere in Canada.
I found that out when my installer noticed the product was defective and he stopped installing after the third box was opened.
I called the store and they sent a "supervisor" to inspect the product and he agreed that the wood was defective and he passed me on to Joe “director of operation” and from that moment I can only speak to Joe.
I told Joe that it taking the installer too long to sift through the wood and that it's going to cast me more to install and if that's the case I want a full refund and he said that he will cover the extra time that it will take to sort the wood.
Well, after about a month of back and forth I did not get a penny for the $700 it cost extra to install the floor, also I have 5 boxes of defective wood that he refused to replace and basically ignores my calls and will not allow any one in his business talk to me.
So all I can say about Brampton Hardwood is they are dishonest and do not stand behind the product their which they claim it's the best in Canada so imagine if I have to call them for warranty issue. As far as I'm concerned there is no warranty on anything Brampton Hardwood sell.
I Was naive not to get all of his promises in writing and now I have nothing to support my story, and when I put in a complaint against him to the BBB, he claims that he did not promise me anything and denied everything, so the BBB took his side and close the case .
My advice is, stay away from Brampton Hardwood, you will save allot of money in the long run.
I spent 10 000 in hardwood for my home. At the time of purchase they did not have enough wood in stock. I asked them if it would be a problem getting more and they said no itll come in about 2 weeks and theyll call me to schedule delivery.
I paid for the wood in full and got delivery 2 days later. I installed the wood a week later so 75% of my home is complete. A month later and no call so I call them asking about the status of the wood. They tell me that they dont carry that wood any more, here is the next best thing. Take it or leave it! WTF?!?!?!? No one bothered to tell me that when I paid for it in full? Or within the 2 days before I took delivery? Or in that week I waited to let the wood climatize before installing!?!?!?!? They had plenty of time to call me and tell me that they would not be able to fill the order. Now I am stuck with a home that is 75% complete and thousands tied up at Brampton Hardwood waiting for wood that doesnt exist. Great company. They will rob you without a second thought. Avoid them like the plague!
they suggested we buy more just in case and can return later. But didn't let us know there is a 10% restocking fee for returns. That's very very sneaky. Also they were almost refusing to return an item because someone there said the item looks used. After arguing and showing a few more workers there, they agreed it was never used. I will never go back there again. Bad business people and very sneaky.
Incredible presentation. I have recently visited Brampton Hardwood for my flooring needs and was blown away with the size of their showroom and the number of choices they offer, their helpful staff made my selection process easy. High praise for Brampton Hardwood
I recently purchased my engineered hardwood floors from Brampton Hardwood at 59 Bramlea Road in Brampton Ontario. The selection was outstanding and their sales help was great.
I highly recommend a visit to their huge showroom
